We will discuss race as a social construct; why and how race is often used in society and the criminal justice system.
This session will explore why race is a significant factor in our cases and the attorney’s and investigator’s need to be cognizant and sensitive to this. We will also look at the statistical reality that a defendant will more than likely be an African born in America or some other minority and explore ways to best serve them.
