So often in mitigation development it is clear that a system or systems have failed our client but these system failures are larger than just highlighting a single institution that missed an opportunity. In our reports we must outline, describe, and articulate the multiple ways in which system failures not only failed our client, but how these failures should be held accountable for our client’s intersection in and involvement with the criminal legal system.
